Member for Lingiari Marion Scrymgour says she will have talks with the NT Government about urgent action for Alice Springs as well as the Federal Attorney General Mark Dreyfus and local Mayor.

She told Katie Woolf extra resources and support from the AFP are needed given the level of violence and despair in the community after riots and destruction yesterday.

Ms Scrymgour says the community needs to feel safe in the first instance and pledged to work with Eva Lawler to get on top of the issues with Federal assistance.
