Strike Force Trident Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland says 15 people have been arrested over nine car thefts and a spate of break-ins and ram raids in recent days.

He told Katie Woolf the group aged between 14 and 50 are facing a total of 160 charges.

Detective Senior Sergeant Bland says older model Landcruisers are being targeted with Territorians encouraged to use steering wheel locks and immobilisers.
