Health Department CEO, Chris Hosking, joined Katie Woolf on 360 this morning, to discuss the challenges facing the NT’s Health System and called for Governments to stop tacking on infrastructure to aging Royal Darwin Hospital.

Mr Hosking says the health facility is well beyond its life and a new tertiary hospital is required for Darwin in the next 5 years.

He says planning is underway to push the Commonwealth for funding assistance as it will cost billions of dollars, money the NT does not have.
