Member for Lingiari Marion Scrymgour says a Family Responsibility Commission needs to be launched in the NT to manage the welfare of parents who neglect their children.

She told Katie Woolf the NT Government needs to consider all options to ensure the police force is adequately resourced to deal with the ongoing crime.

Ms Scrymgour says she will be meeting with Territory Families and the Minister in coming days to bring about urgent change.
