NT Speaker Robyn Lambley says the decision by Alice Springs Greens Mayor Aasta Hill to not participate in Australia Day citizenship ceremony has divided the town.

Mrs Lambley says it’s a division she has never seen in the town before and a petition has been launched calling for her to stand down.

The MLA also touches on her thoughts on the nomination of David Connolly as NT Administrator
