Tourism Central Australia CEO Danial Rochford says there’s a lot of positivity around town following Bonza’s launch in the NT.

The airline will operate 12 direct services a week connecting Darwin to the Sunshine and Gold Coasts and Alice Springs to Melbourne.

Mr Rochford says Territorians are thrilled to be able to reconnect with family, with the flights also set to bring a huge boost to tourism.

Hospitality NT CEO Alex Bruce hopes the new low-cost fares will entice people to relocate to the NT for work and result in a bumper tourist season.

Mr Bruce is encouraging Territorians to support Bonza to retain competition in the aviation sector.
