Labor claims CLP Gov lacks good relationships with Federal Government, with no funding secured for private maternity services in the NT

Opposition Leader Selena Uibo has taken aim at the CLP Government claiming it doesn’t have good relationships with the Federal Government and has failed to advocate for more funding for private maternity services.

Ms Uibo, who is currently in Canberra, told Katie Woolf the Federal Health Minister has confirmed the NT Government didn’t request any assistance on private maternity services until after May this year despite knowing about Healthscope’s plans to close services in October last year.

The Labor Leader also claims the Chief Minister hasn’t delivered on her commitment to restore community safety and reduce crime and also pointed to promises on the police retention bonus not being fulfilled.
