Opposition Leader Selena Uibo says Labor will support the NT Government’s bail reforms, which will be debated in parliament tomorrow but are pushing for an expansion of Supreme court and Legal Aid capacity.

She told Katie Woolf Labor will also work constructively with the CLP regarding the review of the Youth Justice Act, ensuring frontline services are consulted.

But Ms Uibo wants judges to continue to have discretion when it comes to cultural considerations, acknowledging that at times it doesn’t meet the community’s expectation.
