Labor supports CLP’s major energy reforms and a censure motion against Deputy Chief Gerard Maley over his parliamentary behaviour
Opposition Leader Selena Uibo welcomes the CLP’s major energy reforms, saying it’s a continuation of work started under Labor, which should have been introduced and passed in parliament a year ago.
She told Katie Woolf they’re keen to see stability of the grid, more renewables connected and new technology complementing the energy mix but are concerned there could be large power price increases.
Asked about Member for Nightcliff Kat McNamara’s censure motion of Deputy Chief Minister Gerard Maley, Ms Uibo said there was quite concerning behaviour from Mr Maley last week, deeming it a poor choice for the government to not accept the motion.
