Latest business survey paints grim picture, with strong support for the CLP ahead of NT election

Property Council’s NT Executive Director Ruth Palmer says more than 200 business owners took part in their latest survey and 61 per cent said they have experienced damage to their property, with 80 per cent saying they’ve had to clean up urination and faeces.

She told Katie Woolf 40 per cent of respondents had witnessed the use of weapons at their business, 81 per cent had experienced verbal abuse and 63 per cent are considering leaving the NT.

Ms Palmer says the shocking statistics are halting further investment and the Property Council is calling on the major parties to take action and make urgent changes ahead of the NT Election.
