Local Member against extension of St Vinnie’s Ozanam House in Coconut Grove to 2029 with more than 60 people raising concerns
Member for Fannie Bay Laurie Zio says she doesn’t support an extension of St Vincent De Paul’s homelessness services at Coconut Grove until September 2029 due to concerns raised by her constituents.
She told Katie Woolf the CLP Government has been working on allocating crown land to serve as a permanent site for Ozanam House but it isn’t expected to be finalised until early next year.
Ms Zio says while two residents support the Ozanam service in the area, about 60 people have contacted her with concerns about anti-social behaviour stemming from people sticking around after accessing support.
