Acting Assistant Commissioner Danny Bacon says a man has been arrested over the death of a bottle shop worker in Darwin.

A/C Bacon has described the knife attack on the 19-year-old man as a “senseless loss of life.”

He told Katie Woolf the Major Crime Unit have also taken a second person into custody who is assisting police.
