Marion Scrymgour calls for AFP or ADF to be brought in to combat Alice Springs crime crisis after baby seriously injured in home invasion

Member for Lingiari Marion Scrymgour is urging the NT Government and Police Commissioner to call in Federal resources to combat the crime crisis in Alice Springs after a home invasion left a two-month-old baby with a serious head injury, needing treatment in Adelaide.

She told Katie Woolf she doesn’t feel safe in her hometown, as do many other women, adding that Alice Springs is awash with methamphetamine and ice.

Ms Scrymgour says she has also been told one of the youths allegedly involved in the home invasion was wearing an ankle bracelet.
