Member for Lingiari Marion Scrymgour is urging the NT Government to legislate on a Territory-wide alcohol ban that includes town camps.

She told Katie Woolf consultation with women and children must take place and a ballot could be conducted for communities wanting to opt out once a ban is in place.

Ms Scrymgour says alcohol needs to be addressed as it’s one of the main drivers of violence, threatening the safety of women and children.
