Minister breaks down $495 million for Corrections and says electronic monitor laws are being reviewed

Corrections Minister Gerard Maley breaks down the $495 million allocated to Corrections in the NT budget, which will go towards additional staff and expanding operations to address increasing prisoner numbers.
He told Katie Woolf $20 million is for prisoner health services, $4.2 million will be spent on DV programs, with $6 million for electronic monitoring.
Mr Maley says the NT’s surveillance legislation is being reviewed so that police can easily locate those with electronic monitoring devices.
