Minister to table report on $180 mill to tackle domestic violence, as Coroner delivers findings into deaths of four women by their partners
Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro says the Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence Robyn Cahill will table a report in NT parliament tomorrow, which will outline how best to spend $180 million to tackle domestic violence.
She told Katie Woolf the government will also take the time to properly consider and respond to the recommendations of the Coroner, who is handing down her findings today into the deaths of four Indigenous women at the hands of their partners.
Following the release of the Australian Energy Regulators report, the Chief confirmed the NT is facing the prospect of having to buy gas from Queensland, calling it embarrassing when the Territory is sitting between two of the world’s largest gas prospects.
