Nationals Leader takes aim at Prime Minister for lack of action after failed Voice referendum
Nationals Leader David Littleproud is meeting with traditional owners, the local council and pastoralists in Alice Springs to better understand how to close the gap one year on from the failed Voice referendum.
He says the Prime Minster has ignored the problems over the last year and a lot of the $250 million he committed to Alice Springs is yet to be rolled out, adding that the LNP wants a Royal Commission into child sex abuse and a funding audit of service providers.
In response to youths stealing cars and ramming police vehicles in Alice Spring on the weekend, Mr Littleproud told Katie Woolf there needs to be consequences for young offenders and suggested boot camps.
He also outlined two bills the LNP plans to introduce into Federal Parliament at the next sittings relating to supermarkets.
