	New Police Minister responds to concerns that he’s a rookie, outlining his plans for the portfolio
 
								Minister for Police Brent Potter says he’s got what it takes for the role and is meeting with the NT Police Association today after it raised concerns about his lack of experience.
Mr Potter told Katie Woolf he will work closely with the Police Force on alcohol reforms following the Liquor Act Review.
He says there will also be some legislative and budget changes in order to split the Police Department from Fire and Emergency Services.
