Minister for Logistics and Infrastructure Bill Yan says an independent inquiry into senior police recruitments aims to clear the air after the NT ICAC found Police Commissioner Michael Murphy engaged in improper conduct in hiring a mate.

Asked about media reports that plans are on the table to move the Casuarina bus exchange, Mr Yan told Katie Woolf that is not the case and that there has likely been a mix up with a proposed taxi transport terminal in Leanyer.

Mr Yan says he has however tasked the Department of Logistics with reviewing all bus interchanges to address anti-social behaviour and safety concerns, suggesting interchanges may no longer be needed at all.
