Careflight Chief Aircrew Officer Kurt Pride says Charles and Mary-Lou McGregor-Shaw are receiving treatment at a Perth hospital following a serious crash on their way to go fishing at Shady Camp on Australia Day.

He told Katie Woolf Charles, known as Chuck, trains air crew at CareFlight, while his wife Mary-Lou is involved with the CWA in Katherine and supports breastfeeding mothers, with both also active in local sport.

Mr Pride says a GoFundMe page has been set up to help the couple’s parents care for their children with donations going towards food, schooling and clothing.
