NT Government needs to tackle law and order first before it can rebuild tourism says CLP

Opposition spokesperson for tourism Marie-Claire Boothby says the NT Government needs to tackle law and order before it can rebuild tourism in Alice Springs.

It comes after Qantas CEO Alan Joyce reportedly said local tourism operators need to do some “hard yards” in getting tourists back to Alice with flights down on pre-Covid levels.

The CLP is also calling on Labor MLA’s to repay their fuel costs for private interstate travel, which Ms Boothby says shows a lack of regard for taxpayers money.
