NT ICAC did its job in case of Michael Murphy says Independent MLA but a lack of trust lingers in police leadership

Member for Johnston Justine Davis says there is still a lack of trust in the leadership of the NT police force and Territorians want to know there is transparency and accountability across the public service.
While the Chief Minister has committed to re-examine the NT ICAC, which has cost Territorians $35 million, Ms Davis says in the instance of Police Commissioner Michael Murphy the ICAC did its job.
Ms Davis also told Katie Woolf a parliamentary review or select committee could be suitable to review the NT ICAC, adding a review into executive police appointments is also needed if it’ll restore the confidence of officers and community in the force.
