NT Police are working to improve their response to crime and anti-social behaviour around Casuarina Shopping Centre

Assistant Commissioner of the Greater Darwin Region and Road Safety and Support Travis Wurst told Katie Woolf police will be engaging with Casuarina Square security along with additional security providers to monitor public spaces outside of the centre.

It comes after a youth was allegedly attacked by a group of teens at the Casuarina bus exchange last week, where a security guard was also allegedly assaulted during the attack.

Commissioner Wurst says NT Police are also urging Territorian’s with older model cars to take extra measures to prevent vehicle theft.

He says people should look into purchasing steering wheel locks and other means to disable your car.
