NT Police Association says if there’s no funding and staffing boost for the force even more police will leave

The latest NT Police Association members’ survey has revealed that 86 per cent of respondents have considered leaving the force in the last six to 12 months.

It’s the highest survey response ever, with 1,202 members taking part – representing 74 per cent of the Association’s membership.

President Paul McCue told Katie Woolf 97 per cent of respondents don’t believe there are enough police to do what’s being asked of them and 96 per cent don’t feel supported by the NT Government.

Mr McCue hopes the results send a strong message that something needs to change.
