	NT Police reveal that 35 youth have been charged with 1,785 offences in the space of 9 months
 
								Acting Assistant Commissioner James O’Brien has shed light on recidivism in the NT saying 35 youth out of 376 young offenders were arrested five or more times over 9 months from July last year.
He told Katie Woolf the group of 35 were arrested a total of 221 times and charged with 1,785 offences.
Acting A/C O’Brien says extra officers have been deployed to Wadeye with road blocks in place to crack down on alcohol being brought into the community.
