NT Senator calls for NAAJA board to acknowledge failures and stand down after another scandal

Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price says foreign nationals arriving on Australian shores is becoming a regular occurrence under the Albanese Government and it’s concerning Aboriginal people are often the ones encountering them.

She told Katie Woolf the Prime Minister is failing to keep the country’s borders secure after the arrival of foreign nationals on Croker Island, adding there have now been 23 people smuggling attempts since Labor came to power.

Asked about the latest incident impacting NAAJA, with a parole officer charged after allegedly being found in a hotel room with a man whose parole was revoked, Ms Price called on the board to acknowledge its failures and stand down.
