Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians and NT Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has condemned the NAAJA board for appointing Hugh Woodbury as chair despite knowing that he had pleaded guilty to domestic violence charges against his pregnant partner. 

Ms Price told Katie Woolf it’s clear a standard is being maintained that isn’t allowing the organisation to move forward in supporting vulnerable Indigenous people, who experience the highest rates of domestic violence. 

Ms Price says the NAAJA board should be removed or fully dismantled.
