NTG, not ‘pussyfooting around’, with pathways in place to stop youth becoming ‘super criminals’
Chief Minister Eva Lawler says detention is the end of the line for youths, pointing to pathways into education and employment as well as health support to stop them from turning into “super criminals.”
She told Katie Woolf a review into bail is needed and while Territorians want change urgently, it is important to get it right.
Ms Lawler says she is also aware of a letter sent to her office from Tourism Central Australia asking for alcohol restrictions to be relaxed which she needs to look into.
