Opposition Leader Selena Uibo says dining at restaurants and attending medical appointments were among the seven personal trips she used the government white car service for over a 12 month period, adding that she has never made a driver wait for her.

Asked if she had reviewed her use of the VIP car service during her six years as a Minister, Ms Uibo said while she hasn’t, she suspects there may have been some personal trips mostly for medical appointments.

Ms Uibo told Katie Woolf she has now repaid the $655 cost of the seven personal trips and has the support of the Labor caucus to remain the Opposition Leader, saying she has owned up to her mistake and has apologized to Territorians.
