Palmerston Urgent Care Clinic officially opens with capacity to see up to 40 patients a day

Palmerston GP Super Clinic CEO Robyn Cahill says a new urgent care clinic at the practice officially opens at 2.30pm today.

She told Katie Woolf the Federally funded bulk-billing clinic aims to ease pressure on the hospital system by treating patients for urgent things like injuries, broken bones, UTIs and allergic reactions.

In regards to delays with public patients getting in for scans and results coming back, Ms Cahill says it could be due to a change in NT Health’s service provider as Radiology SA now has the contract instead of I-MED Radiology and staff shortages.
