Police Minister calls for Josh Burgoyne to take leave of absence if charges arise over car crash

Minister for Police Brent Potter continues to urge Member for Braitling Josh Burgoyne and Opposition Leader Lia Finocchiaro to fess up to Territorians about his car crash in Alice Springs last August.

He told Katie Woolf, Mr Burgoyne should take leave of absence if charges eventuate.

Meanwhile, Mr Potter has backed Attorney General Chansey Paech after revelations Metcash was awarded a $70 million tender to supply food to NT prisons and hospitals in September 2023.

He also explains changes to crime stats following the roll out of new NT Police computer system SerPro.
