Police Minister Brent Potter says an extra 200 police officers over four years will go some way to addressing crime and is confident about recruiting those numbers.

He told Katie Woolf an additional 25 call centre and CCTV operators have also been announced to increase police response times.

Mr Potter is also guaranteeing the Territory Safety Division will be fully staffed with 52 officers by June servicing Darwin residents.
