Police Minister says one of five officers assaulted in Alice Springs, only graduated last week
Police Minister Brent Potter says a Constable, who graduated from police training on June 29 was one of the four off-duty officers set upon and allegedly attacked by up to 20 people in Alice Springs on Sunday.
He told Katie Woolf an officer was also struck by a car while trying to stop a drink-driver from leaving a bottle shop and two women had a brawl near a NAIDOC event, with one allegedly stabbing the other on the weekend.
Mr Potter says the Police Commissioner is in Alice Springs today and is seriously considering a curfew.
