Police union push for Police Minister to resign citing double standards on racism

NT Police Association President Nathan Finn is calling for Police Minister Brent Potter to resign over racist and highly offensive posts he shared on social media after last week saying he condemns racism especially towards frontline workers.

He told Katie Woolf officers are being investigated over racism allegations made during the inquest into the death of Kumanjayi Walker, with members wondering why there are different standards for the Police Minister.

Mr Finn says if someone had shared racist commentary before applying to join the Police Force they would be rejected on an integrity test.
