Scrapping alcohol floor price and increase tax-free threshold on agenda for first NT parliament

Speaker of NT Legislative Assembly Robyn Lambley says she won’t tolerate bad behaviour of any kind in parliament after suspending a Labor staffer for a week over a pride poster mocking the Health Minister, which was placed in the men’s toilet.
She told Katie Woolf repealing the minimum floor price on alcohol and increasing the tax-free threshold for small businesses are on the agenda for the first parliament sittings.
Ms Lambley says there will also be a lot of “pomp and ceremony” for the first sittings of 2025 with an Address in Reply ceremony also taking place, which only happens every four years.
