Senator says NAAJA is a ‘continued train wreck’ and should be shut down after 5th resignation
Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price says the Federal and NT Governments have failed to address the issues behind domestic violence, letting it fester.
It comes after reports of an increase in serious injury presentations to Emergency Departments across the NT due to domestic and family violence.
Ms Price also told Katie Woolf NAAJA is a “continued train wreck” and should be shut down after reports its 5th acting CEO has resigned.
The Senator has also renewed calls for an audit of service providers that receive government funding after revelations the NT Government doubled funding to Tangentyere Council for its men’s behaviour program despite it not releasing annual reports since 2018.
