St John Ambulance responds to scathing review raising serious concerns of sub-standard care

St John NT’s Director of Ambulance Services Andrew Thomas responds to the scathing findings of a review flagging serious concerns with its clinical governance and some processes that may have led to patient deaths.

He told Katie Woolf NT Health commenced the review late last year after significant growth in St John’s work and case loads, with the service establishing a dedicated patient safety and quality team.

Mr Thomas is reassuring the community that St John’s paramedics are highly trained and always strive to do their best in emergency, high pressure situations.
