Territory Coordinator bill passes, cutting red tape and speeding up processes for major projects

Treasurer Bill Yan says the Territory Coordinator will cut red tape and speed up processes for major projects, which the NT has struggled to deliver in recent years.
He told Katie Woolf the Chief Minister’s first order of business was tabling the NT ICAC report into the improper conduct of Police Commissioner Michael Murphy in hiring a mate, when parliament sittings started yesterday, rejecting Labor’s suggestions she could have spoken publicly before then.
Mr Yan also confirmed the NT Government is owed $39 million in rental arrears for public housing, which has been racked up after Labor wrote off almost $70 million in rental debt.
