The Territory and Federal Governments remain locked in a stalemate over the future of YiSSA on Batten road at Marrara.

It comes as the NT Government reaffirmed its intention to continue transitioning people staying at the YiSSA short term accommodation facility to another location after negotiations for a new agreement with facility owner’s AUSCO broke down – over accusations it was asking for an exorbitant price tag.  

However, NT Senator Malarndirri McCarthy has now accused the Territory of ignoring an offer to go halves with the Commonwealth to secure the facility’s future.
