The Opposition Leader has called on the CLP to reinvest in undergrounding power

Labor leader Selena Uibo say the conversation around undergrounding power in Darwin needs to begin again after more than 19,000 residents were left in the dark after Cyclone Fina.

Ms Uibo defended Labor’s record saying the CLP scrapped the program in 2012, the Gunner Government recommenced it in 2019 after Cyclone Marcus, invested in 2022 but the new CLP Government scrapped it in 2025.

The Opposition Leader says it’s about priorities and what Territorians truly want.
