The Federal election called for May 3rd, Labor’s budget delivering election sweeteners including $5 tax cuts, power bill relief and cheaper medicines but very little new money for the NT, while the Coalition has promised to cut the fuel excise, deliver cheaper energy and more affordable homes, the NT Government’s mandatory sentencing reforms for breaching DVOs and extra support for victims, the latest crime statistics showing the CLP’s crime reforms are making a difference, the former Labor Government’s target of 50 per cent renewable energy by 2030 scrapped and amendments to the Aboriginal Sacred Sites Act are among the topics discussed by the panel.
