A 19-year-old man will face court today (August 11), after allegedly leading police on a pursuit in Palmerston overnight.
Authorities say they detected a car driving over the speed limit on Elrundie Avenue towards Durack at around midnight, and attempted to stop him.
It’s further alleged the driver refused to stop, leading police on a short pursuit before crashing while attempting to overtake another vehicle.

After taking a police test the 19-year-old allegedly tested positive for the drug THC.
He has been charged with a string of offences and has been remanded to face court today.
