A 19-year-old man has been charged after a string of alleged traffic offences in Berrimah.
Police say they stopped a white Holden Commodore at around 11:30 on Friday night, after allegedly driving at a speed of 149km/hr on Tiger Brennan Drive.
It’s further alleged the driver and passenger swapped seats after being pulled over and a third man was found lying in the ute’s tray.
The driver allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test and is set to face court in Darwin on September 2.
Acting Superintendent Xavier Mcmahon says the behaviour is concerning.
“This type of reckless behaviour is deeply concerning.”
“It risked not only their own lives, but the lives of other Territorians travelling on the road.
