A man accused of making thousand of threatening phone calls to women across the country has been arrested in Alice Springs.
The 27-year-old allegedly made over 12,000 phone calls starting from June 19 2026, targeting women and making sexual threats.
NT Police were alerted on July 29 2026 after the number was tracked to Alice Springs, and the man was arrested on Wednesday and has had his mobile phone seized.
The alleged offender is now facing Commonwealth offences including five counts of Using a Carriage Service to Harass, Menace, or Cause Offence.
He is due to front Alice Springs Local Court today.
NT Police believe more victims have been impacted, and is urging anyone who has received threatening messages, phone calls or voicemails are urged to contact police on 131 444 and quote reference NTP2600072674.
