A 15 year old boy is in police custody after two alleged isolated attacks in Katherine last night.
At about 8.45 pm a man was stabbed in the chest with what is believed to be a kitchen knife, shortly after a woman was struck in the head multiple times – allegedly by the teenager.
The police were quickly called to the scene at Katherine Terrace, CCTV operators tracking the boy to 50 Cent Park at Katherine.

The boy was arrested without incident, police saying he was found in possession of the knife allegedly used to stab the man.
Both the man and woman were taken to Katherine Hospital.
Police say investigations are ongoing into the matter and charges are expected to follow today.
