Top End wet season setting in

Wet season is well and truly on the way.

Knucky Lagoon and Charles Point have copped more than 43 milimetres in the last 24-hours.

According to the bureau of meteorology the Tiwi Islands received the biggest dumping though.

Pirlangimpi on the Tiwi Islands recording 78 millimetres since 9am yesterday.

Showers and storms are set to remain for at least the next six days.  

Today there will be a 95% chance of rain with possible showers on the way.
