Two security guards attacked by group of 20 people in Parap

Investigations are underway after two security guards were assaulted by a large group in Parap.

Police were called to the scene in Summerville Park at 1:45pm on Saturday (October 18), following reports a group of up to 20 people had assaulted the workers.

Authorities say the group were armed with bottles and sticks.

Both security guards have been taken to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.

Two men were initially arrested but have since been released pending further investigation.
