At approximately 5:40pm yesterday afternoon Northern Territory Police received a report of a female being stabbed in the upper arm at the old Channel 9 building on Blake Street, The Gardens.
The female was reportedly going in and out of consciousness.
The female victim was treated by Saint John’s Ambulance at the scene and conveyed to the Royal Darwin Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.
Police arrested a male person at the scene who is assisting Police with their inquiries.
The matter is being investigated by detectives who have requested any person who may be a witness to the offence or have any information relating to this matter to call Police on 131444 and quote reference number 10136258.
