Ahsoka Season 2 Release Date Confirmed for Disney+

Star Wars fans, the countdown is officially on. Lucasfilm has confirmed that the Emmy Award-winning series Ahsoka will return for Season 2 on January 20, 2027, streaming exclusively on Disney+.

If you were lucky enough to be at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, you already know the energy was electric. Series creator Dave Filoni took to the stage at the Honda Center, alongside stars Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, and Eman Esfandi, to reveal the first teaser trailer and poster to a wildly enthusiastic crowd.

What to Expect in Season 2

Following the dramatic events of the first season, the new chapter picks up after the fall of the Empire and the steady rise of the New Republic. Dawson returns as Ahsoka Tano, continuing her journey beyond the known galaxy.

This season, Ahsoka and her Jedi apprentice Sabine Wren must navigate a mysterious and dangerous world to find their way home. Back in our galaxy, the stakes could not be higher for their friends Hera, Ezra, Zeb, and Chopper. They have to face a powerful opponent in Grand Admiral Thrawn and his sinister allies, who are determined to plunge the New Republic into a devastating war.

The Cast and Crew

Fans can expect to see plenty of familiar faces returning to the screen. The impressive cast list features Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lars Mikkelsen, Ivanna Sakhno, Rory McCann, and Hayden Christensen.

Behind the scenes, Dave Filoni leads the writing team and shares executive producer duties with Jon Favreau and Carrie Beck. The directing lineup is just as strong, featuring Filoni, Jennifer Getzinger, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Anders Engström.

While January 2027 feels like a bit of a wait, it gives us plenty of time to re-watch the entire Star Wars collection.
