Game Boy Games Making the Switch

Retro gamers are going to be beside themselves as it has been revealed that “Classic Game Boy” and “Game Boy Color” games could soon be added to the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service.

Currently, the service gives players the ability to play a wide selection of both 80 classic NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) and around 50 SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) titles.

Having the Nintendo Switch be able to go back and play some of the classic handheld games of the past could be a great move for the company. Especially by introducing it as part of their subscription service.

It’s also a tad ironic considering the hardware boost company is about to introduce through the “Nintendo Switch OLED Model” that will launch in early October. You’ll be able to play your “dull green dot matrix” style games on a state-of-the-art mini OLED, seems like overkill, but we’ll take it.
